This is a quick and easy recipe and a rich source of probiotics. In fact a 500g jar of homemade sauerkraut is equivalent to 8 bottles of probiotics….pretty powerful huh!!
It also aids in digestion, is healing to the gut, helps to balance gut bacteria, increases vitamins and enzymes and boosts the immune system. I can’t think of any better reasons to make this beautiful fermented vegetable. You can play around with the flavours and get creative with this beauty but my simple recipe with a few basic ingredients is a great starting place.
